Huddersfield Town Reserves beat Leeds United Reserves

MIDFIELDER Chris Atkinson got an early 18th birthday present when he scored to wrap up last night’s 2-0 win for Town Reserves against Leeds at Elland Road.

The Academy player – who will be 18 on Saturday – pounced late on to ensure a first home defeat of the season for 10-man Leeds in the totesport.com League Division I East.

Leeds had goalkeeper Alan Martin sent off just before half time for a foul on Aiden Chippendale, who opened the scoring early in the second half.

Town had a Theo Robinson goal disallowed.
