Huddersfield Town’s Dean Hoyle on Swindon Town, armchair fans and atmosphere

Jordan Rhodes

“Our fans have been long-suffering I know, I am one of them,” he said.

“But now for the first time in years we have a team and players to be proud of and a real chance of going up, but to do it everyone has to give everything they have got – players, fans, staff, everyone – no holding back.

“Some of our rivals like coming to Huddersfield because it’s a nice place to play.

“They think we get big crowds but the atmosphere here is good for away teams. It’s time our fans made them eat their words.

“We need the people of Huddersfield to stand up and be counted and want a successful team. We need the support of all Town fans, young and old, far and wide, roaring us on – starting this weekend.

“We’ve issued some £10 tickets to non-season ticket holders to make it more affordable for people to come down and support Lee and the players, and I would urge everyone to do so.”
