Sheffield spent the last five minutes in Town’s half and struck the bar with two minutes remaining.

With a minute left the referee awarded a penalty against Andrea Haigh when she looked to have got the ball first. Sheffield took it well to reduce the arrears.

There was a heavy defeat for the Under 12s. beaten 7-0 by Garforth Rangers.

Their next game is on Saturday, also in the West Riding Shield semi-finals, against Norristhorpe at Grange Moor (10.30).

Meanwhile the club are holding free ladies football sessions on Wednesdays from 1.00-2.30 at Leeds Road Sports Barn.
