Huddersfield Town boss: Training ground work paid off against Leyton Orient

While it was top scorer Rhodes’ first goal in seven games, Robinson, who came in for injured Lee Novak to make his first start since October, hadn’t scored since November.

And Clark added: “I’m delighted for Theo. His goals to starts ratio (10 in nine) is fantastic.

“For someone who hasn’t started a game for so long to show the energy and enthusiasm levels he did is fantastic. We just need to see that all the time from him.

“He’s got an unbelievable asset in his lightning pace. He’s a young player, and he will miss chances, but he loves scoring goals and he keeps getting in the right areas to do that.

“I’m pleased for Jordan as well. He’s a young boy who has taken a hell of a battering over the last few weeks. Sometimes he’s a bit too genuine for his own good and goes for balls that more experienced players might duck out of because they know they will get a clattering.

“Jordan’s very good at getting across the front of defenders and has scored a lot of headed goals this season by doing that.”

Referring to Leicester’s Steve Howard, Clark continued: “It’s no secret I was trying to bring in another striker on loan because we’re down to just the two available lads and also to maybe give Jordan a rest, but he looked very sharp today.”
