Huddersfield Town Supporters Association column: Huddersfield Town season-ticket offer is hot topic among fans

THE Internet-savvy will probably have been on one or more of the Examiner message boards, Down At The Mac, 606 or Facebook.

What is the topic being tapped out on the keyboards of most Town fans?

Play-off places? Bargain price accommodation in Exeter? Town’s most recent season-ticket offer? The demise of the Beeston Boys?

The season-ticket offer has certainly got fans talking.

In recent seasons Town have done more than any other league club to attract season-ticket holders.

We may be facing a price rise, but is this increase being reflected on the pitch?

Our current league position and goals tally to date would suggest that it is.

The main issues that we are hearing about are: the amount of notice that Town fans have had in order to save up, limited news about the offer for fans outside the circulation of the Examiner and confusion about where families are being encouraged to sit.

These are all issues that HTSA is raising at regular meetings with club officials. We’ll keep you posted.

Now for travel.

Next season HTSA is looking into the possibility of organising a free prize draw for all HTSA members. The lucky HTSA member whose name is drawn will be offered two coach tickets for the following away game.

A trial run this week was won by Paul Gillespie. We will have great pleasure in welcoming Paul on board the coach to Brentford. We hope that he has an enjoyable day and a safe journey home, returning with three precious points, courtesy of HTSA!

If you would like to join Paul on the coach to Brentford here are the details: Departure time from the Galpharm is 9am on Saturday April 10. The cost is adults £20 and juniors £18. There will be the usual £2 surcharge for non-members.

There are still a few seats left on this Saturday’s coach to Wycombe, leaving at 9.30am and priced at £18 and £16 (Juniors).
