HUDDERSFIELD TOWN have signed Icelandic international midfielder Joey Gudjonsson on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old left-footer who was with Burnley last season joins Scott Arfield (Falkirk) as the second of Lee Clark's summer arrivals.
Clark said: "Joey plays with real intensity and has great experience of both the Premiership and Championship.
"At the end of the season, I earmarked that we needed more experience in the side and he fits into that category, and he's still highly ambitious and hungry.
"With Scott Arfield also signing, we are getting good competition in central midfield, however I'll be looking to add one more in that area and that will make it a highly competitive squad next season."
Gudjonsson, who has also played for Aston Villa, Wolves and Leicester City - he is a former Player of the Year for the Foxes - as well as on the continent, is a free transfer as his Turf Moor contract was at an end when the transfer window re-opened yesterday.
