Ex-Huddersfield Town man Michael Collins forced to wait for Scunthorpe United bow

MICHAEL COLLINS is hoping to make his Scunthorpe United bow at Brigg Town tomorrow after missing Saturday’s clash with Bottesford Town because of infected blisters.
The 24-year-old former Huddersfield Town midfielder signed for the Championship club last week, and was frustrated by his setback.
“I’ve had a couple of infected blisters, which have affected the glands in my groin. I’ve been sore, but it’s nothing major,” he explained.
“It’s just annoying because I want to play in every game possible, get myself 100% fit and show people how good I am.”
Collins links up with fellow former Town player David Mirfin at Glanford Park.
“I’m close to Mirf, but he’s left me to my own devices so I strike up relationships with other people,” said Collins.
Scunthorpe were 4-0 winners at Bottesford, who are Koolsport Northern Counties East League First Division rivals of AFC Emley.
