Aug 21 2010 by Huddersfield Sport, Hudd Examiner
Town threw away a two-goal lead as they suffered their first defeat of the season.
Town weathered Peterborough's early pressure and Anthony Pilkington hit the bar before Jordan Rhodes made the breakthrough in the 22nd minute with a well-placed header from Graham Carey's corner.
The lead was doubled in the 33rd minute when a foul on Joey Gudjonsson brought a 20-yard free-kick which Carey drove in off the right-hand post.
Peterborough responded in first-half stoppage time when George Boyd's shot slipped through Alex Smithies' grasp. It was the first goal Town had conceded this season.
And the home side turned the game on its head with two goals in two minutes early in the second half.
First Aaron Mclean shot home on the turn from Grant McCann's free-kick, then Craig Mackail-Smith burst through and despite the efforts of defenders Peter Clarke and Jamie McCombe, squeezed his shot home.
Mclean clinched the win by shooting home from close range in the 67th minute.
