Huddersfield Town's McDermott: We will fight

TERRY McDERMOTT is backing Hudersfield Town to bounce back from their second League I defeat in a row, starting at home to MK Dons tomorrow.
Lee Clark’s right-hand man says the squad are more than happy to have a quick chance to atone for the loss which left them ninth in the table.
“At Oldham the week before, we deserved to be beaten, but I didn’t think that was the case this time,” said McDermott, pictured right.
“We were okay in the first half and totally dominant in the second, but we just couldn’t break them down.
“We hit the woodwork twice, and normally a header of the quality of Jordan Rhodes’ in the first half would have gone in.
“Then Scott Arfield’s brilliant effort looked to be going in but hit a post, and to lose is sickening.
“But we have to fight on and we will fight on, because there are a lot of games to go.
“I will say with a lot of confidence that come the end of the season, we will be there or thereabouts.
“We have too many good players not to be up there, although we need one or two to get back to top form and our more experienced lads to come to the fore, which I think they will do.”
Richard Duffy’s 36th-minute header from a Ryan Harley corner clinched it.
