HUDDERSFIELD Town have landed Newcastle United defender Tamas Kadar on loan – and could pitch the 20-year-old straight into action against Plymouth in tonight’s crunch League I clash at the Galpharm.
The Hungarian international has joined until February 15, and will be allowed to play for Town in both the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and FA Cup.
Kadar, who can operate in central defence but looks set to play left-back for Lee Clark’s side, made his debut in last season’s Carling Cup second-round clash with Town at St James’ Park.
Also a talented handball player, he made his Hungary debut in the 2-0 win over Lithuania in November and will wear shirt number 28 for Town.
The club’s second transfer-window signing after on-loan Hull midfielder Kevin Kilbane comes as Plymouth prepare to part with strike star Bradley Wright- Phillips.
The former Manchester City and Southampton player, Argyle’s 13-goal top scorer who netted both in his side’s 2-1 win over Town in Devon in October, is close to completing a £300,000 switch to Reading.
