DESPITE a cracking 2011 without a loss in 25 league games, it's the play-offs for Huddersfield Town.
We'll be bringing you all the news from Bournemouth ahead of the big games plus news from the other semi-final with MK Dons and Peterborough United.
Bournemouth
EDDIE Mitchell has saluted Lee Bradbury and Steve Fletcher, insisting the Cherries management duo has delivered irrespective of the club’s destiny.
Chairman Mitchell made a bold move when he took the decision to appoint the untried pair following Eddie Howe’s departure to Burnley in January.
But the duo came up trumps by steering Cherries into the play-offs and will now attempt to secure back-to-back promotions for the first time in the club’s history.
Bradbury and Fletcher took the reins when Cherries were in third place, immediately raising hopes of automatic promotion thanks to an impressive 10-match unbeaten run.
Peterborough
Peterborough United received a play-off boost today with the news that Charlie Lee is likely to be fit for the semi-final first leg at MK Dons on Sunday.
Lee limped out of Saturday’s big win over Dagenham & Redbridge with a hamstring problem, but manager Darren Ferguson expects him to return to training on Friday.
And if Lee does suffer a relapse, Grant Basey is ready to return at left-back. Basey resumed training yesterday (Tuesday) after an injury lay-off which was important as plans to restore Scott Griffiths to the squad have been scuppered by Football League regulations.
