HUDDERSFIELD Town's wishes came true today as the fixtures computer gave them home ties on the first and last days of the season - plus over the busy Christmas and New Year period.
We reported earlier this week, how the club had requested a home start.
Like last year, Town start against a newly promoted team in Bury, but this time unlike last season at Notts County, it's a home tie for the Terriers.
They also finish the season at home - with a game against Yeovil on May 5.
Over Christmas and New Year it's more good news for fans with the big Yorkshire clash against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on December 17, followed by a Boxing Day clash against newly-promoted Chesterfield at the Galpharm, plus a New Year's Eve date in Huddersfield for Carlisle.
Town face relegated Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in mid-September and at home on Valentine's Day, February 14.
