ANTHONY PILKINGTON is set to join Norwich after Town accepted a bid for the wantaway winger.

The Galpharm club are refusing to make any comment, but I understand a £2m-plus package has been tabled for the talented 23-year-old.

Despite being contracted to 2014, Pilkington, signed for a reported £500,000 from Stockport in January 2009, last week rocked Galpharm chiefs by telling them he wanted to leave.

The request was reluctantly accepted, with a string of clubs from both the Premier League and Championship subsequently contacting Town about a player who has been sidelined since March, when he suffered a broken left leg and ankle dislocation.

Now it will be down to Pilkington to agree terms with the Carrow Road club, who are preparing for a top-flight campaign after winning successive promotions under Paul Lambert.
