Reaction to Sheffield United v Huddersfield Town
HUDDERSFIELD Town boss Lee Clark saw his side go third in League I with a 3-0 romp at previous leaders Sheffield United.
“I couldn’t be happier,” said Clark after striker Lee Novak (2) and Oscar Gobern grabbed the goals on a memorable night at Bramall Lane.
Town produced a slick show and Clark added: “To come here and beat a good team the way we did is very pleasing. I thought we were sensational at times and when we had to dig deep and block shots, and when my keeper had to make saves, we did it.
“We’ve come away and scored three goals. We could have had a few more, and we have kept a clean sheet.”
Clark handed a return to midfielder Damien Johnson, who has been out since December because of a knee injury, and Clark said: “I have seen glimpses that Damien was ready and what a fantastic way to return to the side. It is as if he has never been away.
Johnson lined up along side Gobern and Scott Arfield in midfield and Clark explained: “I wanted to play with the three which has served us well in away games. Scott Arfield has great energy and can tuck in, and I was delighted with the way the whole side played.”
