LEE CLARK slammed red-carded Huddersfield Town defender Jamie McCombe – and said he will have a fight on his hands to reclaim his place after his three-match suspension is up.

The manager said the 28-year-old’s straight red card, which came after he tangled with George Porter as Leyton Orient prepared to take a corner in the 84th minute, cost Town victory.

The Galpharm side were two up through Alan Lee and Jack Hunt at the time.

But Kevin Lisbie pulled one back when the corner was finally taken.

Then Ben Chorley drilled in a stoppage-time equaliser to leave Clark fuming and McCombe facing a fine of two weeks’ wages.

“He has let us down massively with his indiscipline. He will be fined the maximum and will find it very difficult to get back in the team,” said Clark.

“He threw the lad over and you simply can’t raise your hands – the rugby was on Friday night.

“It’s a hammer blow because with 11 against 11, we’d have seen the game out. We hadn’t been brilliant, and some of my players could have been producing more, but we were doing the job.

“Orient are a good passing team. They make the pitch big, and with an extra player they are going to make it especially difficult.
