TOMMY MILLER wants a repeat of the high-tempo display at Brentford when Town face Bradford in tomorrow’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy second-round derby at the Galpharm (7.00).

The string-pulling midfielder, who was a Bantams target before switching to Town from Sheffield Wednesday this summer, was instrumental in Town’s first two goals at Griffin Park.

He supplied a sweeping cross for Jordan Rhodes’ first-half opener, then fed Lee Novak for the lob which started a glut of three goals in 10 second-half minutes.

Experienced Miller also won plaudits from boss Lee Clark, who hailed him as "a terrific footballer who makes things tick for us".

However the 32-year-old, who has also played for Hartlepool, Ipswich, Sunderland and Preston, played down the praise and insisted his sights are set on Bradford.

"The lads’ tails will be up after the win and particularly because of the nature of the performance," said the North-Easterner.

"Brentford is a tough place to go and for 20 minutes or so it was a tight game in difficult, very hot conditions.

"But we dug in, rode the storm and matched them physically before going on to stamp some authority on the game."

One of four players recalled to the starting XI (along with skipper Peter Clarke, Rhodes and Gary Roberts) Miller admitted the challenge now is to stay there.
