PETER CLARKE wants England Under 21 boss Stuart Pearce to run the rule over his Huddersfield Town teammate Jack Hunt.
The 20-year-old right-back shone again as Lee Clark’s side went third in League I with a hard-fought 2-1 home win over Stevenage.
And his skipper, who won eight Under 21 caps when at Everton, said: “Playing like he is, Jack has to be worth a look.”
Academy product Hunt, however, is keeping his feet firmly on the ground.
“My aim is just to keep working, keep improving and help Huddersfield Town win promotion,” he said.
“I am only 20, and I only made my debut at the start of last season, and that was in League II (while on loan to Chesterfield), so I still have a lot to learn.
“I’m working with great coaches, and if I can keep on getting better, I’ll be delighted, but I won’t get carried away – my teammates make sure my head stays where it should be!”
