Let’s keep the momentum going urges Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark

LEE CLARK watched his side leapfrog Sheffield Wednesday to go third in League I and proclaimed: “It’s a terrific result for us.”

As Wednesday went down 1-0 at home to leaders Charlton, Town came out on top in their trans-Pennine derby thanks to Alan Lee’s 86th-minute strike from fellow substitute Danny Cadamarteri’s teasing cross.

And the boss continued: “It’s great to see players come off the bench and make a contribution.”

Clark was forced to make a 23rd-minute change because Oscar Gobern was suffering after a clash of heads and he said: “Anton Robinson kept things going smoothly after Oscar took a real whack, which left him groggy and with double vision.

“In the first half we played some good football and created some decent openings in a tight game.

“In the second half we didn’t get the ball down as much as we would have liked, although the opposition played a huge part in that.
