HUDDERSFIELD Town have made a key transfer window signing – Timmy the Terrier.

The five-year-old Yorkshire Terrier has been snapped up by the Galpharm club to perform at half time.

His signing brings competition for places with current mascot Terry the Terrier.

The football-mad dog is co-owned by Huddersfield DJ Martin Doorly and his ex-girlfriend Nicola Crossley.

Martin – who founded the town’s famous Afterparty nights and now DJs around the world – said his skilful pooch had always had a natural talent with a ball but he had also taught him a load of tricks.

He said: “We used to take him up to the moors and we quickly found he was really good.

“He’s got really good ball control.

“You can kick it up in the air and he can bring it down with one touch.
