Huddersfield Town boss: We gave it a good go against MK Dons

HUDDERSFIELD Town boss Lee Clark was satisfied that his side had given their all against MK Dons – despite letting two points slip in the race for promotion.

The 1-1 draw meant Town slipped out of the top two due to Sheffield Wednesday’s 2-1 home win over Yeovil, but Clark was pleased with his side’s performance.

“It was two points lost really and obviously you want to win your home games,” said Clark.

“But I think we gave it a real go against a very good side.

“We started the game very well and were on top for long periods, but we were never going to dominate for the whole of the game.

“Probably there were 20 minutes or so in the second half where our passing became a bit ragged, but all in all I felt we did well and just didn’t get the three points against a very good side.”

A Jamie McCombe header on half-time gave Town the lead only for a free kick from Stephen Gleeson to level matters on 62 minutes.

“I felt that both Jamie and Sean Morrison had very good games for us,” added Clark.

“Ian (Bennett) didn’t really have a save to make and he has been unfortunate with their goal.
