Huddersfield Town's Nathan Clarke heads to Bury on loan

NATHAN CLARKE has joined Huddersfield Town’s League I rivals Bury on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 28-year-old centre-back, who made the first of his 300 Town appearances in the 1-1 League I draw at Stoke in September 2001 but hasn’t featured for the club in 14 months, had a loan spell at Oldham earlier this campaign after spending the second half of last season at Colchester.

He is in line to make his Bury debut in tomorrow’s clash at Carlisle, the scene of his last Town appearance on New Year’s Day last year.

It’s the first transfer activity carried out by Galpharm manager SImon Grayson, and while the loan runs through to May 5, Town can recall Clarke after the first 28 days.
