HUDDERSFIELD Town's Jack Hunt says being picked in the PFA League I Team of the Year has given him a big boost as Town begin their countdown to the play-offs.
The emerging right-back joined 38-goal hot shot Jordan Rhodes in the side selected by fellow players and announced at the union’s annual dinner.
Only 11 Town players have been similarly honoured since the PFA began their seasonal awards back in 1974.
And 21-year-old academy product Hunt said: “It feels great to have been selected, but it will feel even better if we can win promotion.
“I’ve enjoyed the season so far, and I’ve been pleased at the way I’ve developed personally, but we all know we’re now at the business end.
“We’ve had a blip in form, but we’re in the play-offs now and we’re all looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
Hunt made his 45th appearance of the campaign as Town sealed a two-legged play-off semi-final against MK Dons by beating Scunthorpe 1-0 at the Galpharm.
With two regular league games left, Simon Grayson’s fifth-placed side, who go to Walsall on Saturday, will now fight it out with MK for fourth spot and home advantage in the semi second leg.
