JORDAN RHODES has only just made the step back into the Championship with Huddersfield Town.
But that hasn’t prevented former Charlton manager and TV pundit Alan Curbishley including the Scotland cap in his Championship Dream Team for this season.
Curbishley revealed his line-up to promote the launch of Phones 4u Fantasy Football, the only official fantasy game of the npower Championship.
A number of other former Championship managers will name teams over the next few weeks.
Curbishley’s team includes three players from his former club, Charlton, along with three Championship newcomers in Bolton’s Adam Bogdan, Brighton’s Wayne Bridge and Town’s Rhodes.
His team (based on 4-3-3):
Keeper – Adam Bogdan (Bolton): ‘Despite Bolton’s relegation last season, Bogdan had a brilliant season, dislodging Jussi Jaaskelainen as first choice keeper by the end of the campaign. He will play a major part in aiding Bolton’s promotion push and will certainly contribute to a few clean sheets.’
Defender – Wayne Bridge (Brighton): ‘Very experienced left back that will excel in the Championship. Will definitely tighten up Brighton at the back and be a huge threat going forward too.’
Defender – Roger Johnson (Wolves): ‘Played at this level before with Cardiff so will know exactly what to expect. A massive threat from set pieces and a “never say die” attitude.’
