WOLVES winger Adam Hammill last night emerged as one of the names on Simon Grayson’s Town hit list of possible signings.

The 24-year-old Liverpudlian proved a big hit when he was with Barnsley.

I understand Town are considering a bid of around £600,000 today for Dundee United flier Johnny Russell, in a bid to tempt him south of the border like former teammate Paul Dixon.

While Leicester City striker Jermaine Beckford remains a genuine interest for Grayson, I believe Town are not willing to be held to ransom over a fee and Leicester’s demands for the former Leeds United striker may scupper any deal before tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline.

Town also remain in the hunt for Reading striker Simon Church, the Welsh international teammate of Joel Lynch.

But contractual issues at the Reading end would need to be sorted first.
