HUDDERSFIELD Town are delighted to have landed Adam Hammill from Wolves on loan.
The 24-year-old wing flier was snapped up before the 11pm deadline on a loan deal until January 13.
Former Liverpool academy product Hammill is available for Simon Grayson’s senior side at Ipswich and was aiming to link up with the squad in Suffolk for the match at Portman Road.
In the wake of Jordan Rhodes' £8m departure to Blackburn Rovers, Town’s efforts to sign Jermaine Beckford from Leicester failed to pay off.
Chief executive Nigel Clibbens, director of football operations Ross Wilson and chairman Dean Hoyle spent hours in negotiations.
Beckford was central to much of what was going on, but Town couldn’t reach any common ground with Leicester over the 28-year-old, who still has two years left on his contract at the King Power Stadium club.
It is understood a season-long loan was Town’s preferred option while Leicester wanted to offload in a
permanent deal.
