BOSS Simon Grayson says “anything is achievable” in the transfer market because of the excellent backing from Town chairman Dean Hoyle.
Town were perilously close to landing Jermaine Beckford on loan from Leicester City at the same time they signed Adam Hammill from Wolves in the last 15 minutes of the transfer window.
Town may revisit the Beckford deal when the loan window opens next week, but Grayson says the departure of Jordan Rhodes to Blackburn for £8m did not affect his thinking on recruitment.
“We worked so hard on the Jermaine Beckford deal simply because we felt he would have improved the football club,” said Grayson.
“We have strikers up there who can do the job, but you just want as much quality as you can get and the extra competition for places.
“I was always looking for an attacking player whether Jordan had left us or not.

“Losing Jordan didn’t make a difference to that thinking.
“We got very close to doing the Jermaine Beckford deal but you have to keep plenty of options. Deals are set up, then they break down, but that’s the transfer window for you.
