MANY congratulations to Town defender Paul Dixon for his man of the match performance in Scotland’s World Cup qualifier – the match finished a 0-0 draw with Serbia at Hampden Park at the weekend.
In what was Paul’s debut performance for his home country, it can only bode well for the future, so let’s hope we see him making many more appearances for the Tartan Army.
This weekend sees Nigel Clough’s Derby County visit the John Smith’s Stadium.
There looks sure to be another good crowd and with both teams currently on five points it could be a fairly open affair.
Derby are coming to West Yorkshire on the back of a 5–1 home victory against Watford a few weeks ago then, subsequently, a 1–1 draw away to Wolves, and with Town looking for a second home victory on the bounce it will be an interesting match.
We welcome new loan man Adam Hammill, the flying winger from Wolves, who makes his Town home debut and we look forward to him replicating his performance from down at Ipswich the last time out, where he created some good raids down the wing.
