DELIGHTED manager Simon Grayson watched Huddersfield Town power into the top six and he beamed: “That’s a fantastic win for us.”

Town extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to five games, with a controversial 3-1 win at Hillsborough in which Oliver Norwood, Lee Novak and Adam Clayton, with a penalty, were on target.

Despite Joel Lynch’s straight red card, which will cost him a three-match ban – Wednesday also had Joe Mattock sent off – Grayson praised his side’s character.

“You have to make sure you compete in games like that and we stood up to be counted.” said Grayson, who revealed the absent Adam Hammill (knee) is a doubt for next Monday’s trip to Blackpool.

“Wednesday have pace, power and athleticism, but we handled everything they threw at us by putting our bodies on the line.

“I think we passed the ball well when we had possession and the team spirit is just fantastic.
