SIMON GRAYSON has his sights firmly set on a fourth successive Championship win at home to Watford tomorrow but warned his Huddersfield Town players: “It could well be our toughest test yet.”

The boss accepts that Monday’s impressive Sky-televised victory at Blackpool has raised his second-placed side’s profile.

“We were possibly a bit of an unknown quantity after coming up, but the more games you play, the more opponents have the chance to study you,” he said.

“That makes it all the more important that we not only maintain the standards we have set, but improve on them, and that’s the challenge we face.”

While Town can go top, albeit until leaders Brighton take on Birmingham at 5.30, 19th-placed Watford are keen to climb the table after an inconsistent start under Gianfranco Zola.

“Recent form means we are probably slight favourites – but it is only slight,” added Grayson, who hailed striker Lee Novak for his hard graft as he chases a third goal in as many games as part of what looks likely to be an unchanged starting XI at the John Smith’s Stadium.

“Gianfranco is a good manager with an excellent football brain who can call on some very good players, and we face a tough task for which we all have to be ready.”
