HERE are the ratings from Huddersfield Town's defeat to Watford.

Below are the ratings from Examiner reporter Doug Thomson.

The fans' ratings are on page two and fan reports on page three.

ALEX SMITHIES
Conceding three goals was tough on the stopper, who foiled Watford on several other occasions. 7

PAUL DIXON
Caught out a couple of times but worked hard to get the tackles in and tried to push forward when possible. 6

JACK HUNT
Played some neat passes but like many of the team, struggled to impose himself on this game. 6

ANTHONY GERRARD
Made many tackles, blocks and clearing headers so will have been as frustrated as anyone by the final score. 6

PETER CLARKE
There were a couple of slip-ups by the skipper but he also made some telling interventions 6

ADAM CLAYTON
Like the Town team as a whole, while the effort was there, the usual tempo and control was absent. 6

KEITH SOUTHERN
Tried his best, but Watford’s ability to vary tactics and formation made it a tough day for the home midfielders. 6

OLIVER NORWOOD
Was always busy and while keeper Almunia might have done better, got his third goal in as many games. 7

JERMAINE BECKFORD
Made a full debut less than 24 hours after arriving on loan from Leicester and showed glimpses of his ability. 6

LEE NOVAK
Yet another industrious display by the striker, who set up Lee’s headed leveller and came close to a goal himself. 7

DANNY WARD
Produced some good deliveries, but the concession of the penalty will certainly have spoiled his night. 6

Substitutes:
Sean Scannell (for Clayton, 71mins) 6;
Scott Arfield (for Norwood, 78) 6;
Alan Lee (for Beckford, 78) 6.
