Millwall v Huddersfield Town: How the bookies see it

JUST as they were building some momentum with back-to-back wins, Town suffered a disappointing defeat at Peterborough, leaving boss Simon Grayson to rue naming an unchanged side.

Whether he shuffles his pack for tomorrow’s trip to Millwall remains to be seen, but either way the visitors will start as outsiders, BetVictor pricing them at 12/5 to get back to winning ways.

The Lions are 13/10 favourites via Ladbrokes to inflict another away defeat on Town, who are 5/2 (bet365) to snare a share of the spoils, and as the hosts have drawn four of their last five, that price could attract cash, along with Skybet’s 12/1 for it to finish 2-2.

Town, however, haven’t played out a stalemate in eight games so punters can be forgiven for expecting a conclusive affair and Grayson’s charges are 10/1 with Paddy Power to be the beneficiaries by registering a 2-1 success.

Also of interest to Town fans could be Stan James’ 6/1 chalked against their side securing three points despite a level first period, while bet365 quote them at 9/2 to shade it by a one-goal margin.

And cautious fans can back Town at 8/13 (Stan James) to avoid defeat at the New Den.

Millwall’s last few games have produce plenty of goals, hence Stan James’ 8/13 for both teams to get on the scoresheet in this one and BetVictor’s slightly heftier 7/10 for the scorers to be troubled on three or more occasions.

Jermaine Beckford is 13/2 courtesy of bet365 to bag the first of those and strike partner James Vaughan is also a 13/2 chance, this time via BetVictor.
