SIMON GRAYSON is reported to be on Blackburn’s wanted list – but Huddersfield Town remain confident of keeping their manager.
Championship rivals Rovers, who visit the John Smith’s Stadium a week tonight, have already lured £8m strike star Jordan Rhodes to Ewood Park.
And sources across the Pennines suggest Grayson, an ex-Blackburn player whose son Joe is on Rovers’ books as a junior, has climbed the list of potential successors to Steve Kean, who left the former Premier League club on September 28.
But sources close to Town say there has been no approach from Blackburn, and that Grayson is focused on maintaining an encouraging start to the club’s first Championship campaign in 11 years.
The former Blackpool and Leeds manager succeeded Lee Clark as Town boss in February and guided Town to a dramatic League I play-off final penalty triumph over Sheffield United at Wembley in May.
