HERE are Doug Thomson's player ratings:
ALEX SMITHIES
Not a good day for the out-of-sorts stopper, who should have saved two of Leeds four goals. 5
JACK HUNT
Busy at the back and often frustrated going forward, it wasnt a memorable 100th Football League game. 6
JOEL LYNCH
Took over at left-back from Paul Dixon and competed strongly until forced off by a hamstring injury. 6
ANTHONY GERRARD
Worked hard after being recalled for a first start in seven games and won the penalty. 6
PETER CLARKE
The Town skipper made some important tackles and blocks but like his team, wont be happy at conceding four. 6
SCOTT ARFIELD
Had the odd encouraging moment, but in general, struggled to get the better of the Leeds full-backs. 5
ADAM CLAYTON
Clearly pumped up against the club who let him go, the midfielder was among Towns better performers. 7
CHRIS ATKINSON
An encouraging performance and a first Town goal on only his third start for the club and sixth appearance in all. 7
ALAN LEE
Responded enthusiastically to being handed a first start of the season and gave the Leeds defence problems. 7
SIMON CHURCH
No shortage of running and effort, but the Reading loanee was unable to make any real impression. 5
DANNY WARD
Made a strong start and forced an early save from Kenny, but faded as the game wore on. 5
Substitutes: Calum Woods (for Lynch, 56mins) 7; James Vaughan (for Lee, 63) 5; Adam Hammill (for Arfield, 75) 5. Not used: Oliver Norwood, Sean Scannell, Lee Novak, Ian Bennett.
