A super show by the stand-in skipper, who was determined to keep a clean sheet while wearing the armband. 8

Lapses were rare as the left-back competed strongly against impressive wide player Craig Conway. 7

His late block to thwart substitute Fraizer Campbell typified a determined display against his old club. 8

Back after a hamstring injury for a first game in seven and slotted into the defence as if the absence was far shorter. 8

Could have made more of set-pieces, but still a solid effort from the deep-lying midfielder. 7

Made some really meaty challenges and did his best to push Town up the pitch during a busy afternoon. 7
SCOTT ARFIELD
Showed good energy and stood firm alongside Danns in a role which was more defensive than of late. 7

Has had more effective games than this but nevertheless made a useful contribution. 7

Handed a vital job as an advanced midfielder. Worked both to stop Cardiff and push Town forward. 7

Non-stop as a foraging lone frontman and a key defender at set-pieces. If only he could have scored! 8
