HUDDERSFIELD Town chairman Dean Hoyle has spoken of his delight after the club signed talismanic striker James Vaughan on a permanent deal.

The 24-year-old frontman has put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Town.

The fee has not been disclosed.

Vaughan starred on loan for Town last season and top scored with 14 league goals.

The chairman said: “We are really pleased to have got this transfer finally over the line.

"We all met him after the season end to see if he wanted to come back and explain how much we wanted him here, so to finally do the deal is great.

“There is a lot more to come from James and I believe he can be a big player for us. I’m sure the fans will be as delighted as we are to see him back.”
