BRISTOL Rovers are hoping to sign Swindon Town striker Billy Paynter, according to Vital Football's Bristol Rovers section.
Rovers are believed to have made a offer of around £100,000 for the 25-year-old who is out of contract in the summer.
Paynter has 14 goals this season and is Swindon's top scorer.
