Huddersfield Town chairman: Now let’s nail promotion after unbeaten run record

DEAN HOYLE reflected on Huddersfield Towns proud new place in the record books today and challenged the players: Now lets nail promotion!

The club owner and chairman is delighted with a 43-match unbeaten League I run which is the best since the Football League was formed in 1888.

Arsenals all-time record of 49 (set in the Premier League) now beckons, but Hoyle who continues to bankroll the club says there is only one overall objective for the campaign.

With Town second ahead of next Mondays trip to leaders Charlton Athletic, Hoyle explained: The record is fantastic and we are all very proud, but this season is all about winning promotion.

If we can nail that then it will be brilliant for everybody and we can look back on a great campaign and a fantastic sequence of results.

The run is not over yet and I know Lee Clark will be wanting to take Arsenals 49-game record as well, but we all know what we want this season the manager, the board, the players and the supporters and promotion would be the icing on the cake.
