Steve Black column: We'll learn from last two matches
Jan 30 2009 By Steve Black
The fans who joined us down at Yeovil will tell you the weather got progressively worse as the game approached, and continued throughout the proceedings.
We warmed up well, bright and full of energy and enthusiasm, started the game well and had the better of the early exchanges.
Over the game, we once again created more than the opposition, but they took one of the three good chances whereas we couldn’t convert our significant openings.
Frustrating for all as although the conditions didn’t make for a classic, free-flowing game, we probably deserved to edge the battle on chances.
Once again, two committed hard-working teams who were not only battling each other but the dreadful weather conditions.
As always we’ve appraised and reflected over these two games and tweaked our preparations accordingly.
Tomorrow we welcome Peterborough, a team on a good run being rewarded for playing some excellent football.
We’ll be doing everything in our powers to call a halt to their good run, and announce the beginning of our next one.
We are more than capable and look forward to the opportunity to get back to winning ways at Fortress Galpharm!
The team are loving playing in front of your super support, and we’ll turn our excellent football into goals, and victory!
Onwards and upwards!
