TUES AM: Reports of Huddersfield Town's £1m+ bid for Championship striker
NEWSPAPER reports have linked Huddersfield Town with an outrageous bid for Peterborough United striker Craig Mackail-Smith.
The player has been the subject of three £1m+ bids - but club director Barry Fry dismissed them out of hand.
Two of the bids are understood to have been made by Championship clubs and the other by a League One side, believed to be Huddersfield Town, according to reports.
Fry said: "There has been interest about Craig which we expected, but the chairman is adamant he won't be selling any of his better players.
"We are keen to lose some players because the 33-man squad we have at present is far too big, but the ones we want to go are already on the transfer list.
"Surprisingly we have not had an offer for George Boyd or Joe Lewis and we've had no bids for Aaron Mclean since Wolves tried to sign him last summer, but clubs would be wasting their time anyway."
