An eagle-eyed reader has spotted an embarrassing leak in our checking department in a story we published today on the proposed investment in trans-pennine travel .
For in the corner of a picture we showed of queuing traffic on the M62 , a commuter can be seen literally taking matters into his own hands by appearing to make his own 'emergency stop' at the side of the carriageway.
It was clearly a long, frustrating delay for the commuter who decided to take a comfort break from the rigours of rush hour, obviously unaware our photographer was snapping pictures of long tailbacks.
And we were also unaware of the chap in the bottom right-hand corner of the picture who, thankfully for him, can't be identified or embarrassed

Commenting on facebook, Andy Brown said: "Interesting article, the icing on the cake has to be the pic of a bloke having a wazz at the side of the M62.
"At least he didn't bottle his trucker's tizer and lob it out of the window though, better for the environment really."
And Michelle Conn saw the funny side: "LMAO at the man peeing!!"
An Examiner spokesman said: "We'll hold our hands up even if the man in the picture couldn't. It was our error and we apologise for any offence caused. We were caught short, simple as that."
