It's Holmfirth 1940s weekend and you've been sharing your photos of the Lancaster Bomber flyover with us.

More pictures and a story will be online later but in the meantime, have a look at this gallery of pictures of the planes flying over Huddersfield and beyond which were sent to us by Twitter followers.

The Lancaster Bomber was designed and built for the RAF and came into use during World War II in 1942. The plane was retired in 1963.

Of the 7,377 ever built, only two remain in airworthy condition - and thousands of people got to see them here today!
