Could you take in one of these homeless hounds?

Dogs Trust Leeds has eight furry friends who currently don't have a forever home to go to.

They include five-year-old lurcher Jet, described as "fast, friendly, fun and affectionate", and Bailey, a bouncy and clever 17-month-old crossbreed.

There's Shreddie, a two-year-old Jack Russell who is playful but can be a shy at first, and Bella, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who needs active owners who can keep up with her.

If you think you could offer any of these dogs their ideal home, please call the centre on 0300 303 0292.

Or visit the centre at Woodlands Farm, York Road, Leeds, LS15 4NL.

The centre is open 12pm-4pm Friday to Monday and 12pm-7.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

It is closed Wednesdays.
