BACK pain can strike anyone at any age and can be very debilitating, stopping normal life in its tracks and leaving the sufferer at its mercy.

Fortunately Beth Hunt and her team at the Almondbury Chiropractic Centre are on hand to help.

As Chiropractors they can offer a long term solution for all kinds of problems including lower back pain, sciatica, neck pain, sports and work related injuries and much more.

The onset of back pain can be a gradual and increasingly uncomfortable process or can happen in an instant. It has many causes from poor posture to incorrect lifting amongst others.

Based in St Helens Gate, Almondbury, the clinic has a large patient base, many of whom are referred by previous patients, giving testament to the effective nature of the treatment. Beth has been with the clinic for three years and took over as head of the practice in December last year. She works alongside another experienced Chiropractor, Andreas Minx and a reception team.

Practitioners at the clinic have undergone extensive training over a number of years and are registered with the General Chiropractic Council which is a UK-wide statutory body.

Chiropractic treatment often involves safe specific manipulative adjustments, to free joints in the spine and relieve muscle tension.

This is usually accompanied by a course of recommended exercises and lifestyle advice to boost and maintain the benefits of the treatment.

Experts believe that as many as 90% of back pain sufferers stop seeing their GP within three months but most are still in pain up to a year later.

This has recently been recognised in a report by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) who have issued guidelines to improve the early management of persistent low back pain.

They have recommended that people who have been in pain longer than six weeks should be offered an exercise programme, a course of manual therapy including manipulation such as chiropractic treatment, or a course of acupuncture, acknowledging the benefits of alternative treatments for back pain.

A visit to an experienced Chiropractor can result in a long term solution and a flexible pain free future.

Almondbury Chiropractic Centre provides great back up when something goes wrong with your back! Half price consultations for new patients throughout June and July.
