WHETHER you’ re looking to book a meal for a special occasion, or just want a midweek treat, why not see what’s on the menu at Durker Roods Hotel, Meltham?

This stunning historic hotel, set in peaceful surroundings, offers dining options for all occasions including a traditional Sunday lunch, an Early Bird two-course option, buffet choices and specially tailored menus for small or large parties.

Always popular at Durker Roods is the Sunday lunch option served from 12noon until 7pm every Sunday. This includes a choice of roasts and is available at the competitive price of three courses for £13.95, with one and two course options available.

Meals are served either in the restaurant or in the bar area, wherever diners feel most comfortable.

However booking for Sunday lunch in the restaurant is always advisable.

The Early Bird option, which is served every lunchtime 12noon to 2pm apart from Sunday and evenings 5pm to 7pm Monday to Friday, offers a great two-course meal for just £5.95. This includes a choice of four starters, four main courses and four sweets. Dishes change daily with the choices displayed on a chalkboard.

Take a look at the main menu and you’ll discover a good choice of starters, mains, snacks and sandwiches including innovative dishes such as The Big One mixed grill, seared salmon supreme, pan fried duck breast, minted lamb shoulder and Freshfields locally produced sausage.

A special menu for children is available and a selection of mouth-watering desserts is always on offer.

For larger parties, the restaurant or the Sir David Brown function room can be hired for occasions including weddings, funerals, presentation evenings, birthday and anniversary celebrations etc.

Events in the function room can be held for up to 120 people (seated) or 140 for a buffet meal.

For a long time Durker Roods has been a popular choice for weddings and already the 2010 and 2011 calendar is filling up with bookings.

A choice of accommodation is available for the wedding party and any guests travelling from out of the area.
