Come Dine With Me featuring Massala Lounge

A great new restaurant for Holmfirth

Come Dine With Me featuring Massala Lounge

NOW open in the heart of Holmfirth is Massala Lounge, a family-run restaurant which is bringing a taste of the Indian sub-continent to the Summer Wine town.

Housed in a former nightclub and accessed by a flight of steps, the restaurant sits on high above a row of Holmfirth shops right in the centre at the town’s main junction.

The transformation however is startling with vibrant contemporary red decor, leather chairs, wooden floors and a general modern ambience waiting to greet diners.

Carefully chosen modern artwork hangs on the walls and a pleasant waiting area with contemporary sofas, leather pouffes, fresh flowers and stunning red barstools completes the clean contemporary look - and is a world away from the traditional Indian restaurant which was decked in flock wallpaper and ornate furniture.

Massala Lounge is roomy and spacious with full air conditioning, being able to cater for over 70 diners. Already the restaurant is proving very popular and booking is obviously recommended.

The menu at Massala Lounge is extensive with a Thursday night executive banquet offer described as food `fit for kings’.

A whole list of starters and main courses offers the diners a culinary tour of Southern Asia with both traditional dishes on offer and a host of new innovative dishes, each with its own distinct flavour.

Massala Lounge is a family-run business with the emphasis on customer service and a warm welcome. People who have already dined there say staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, guiding customers through the food choices.

Opening hours at Massala Lounge are Sunday to Thursday 5.30pm to 11pm and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Children are very welcome.

Remember there is also a function room available.
