Does town have talent?

BRIGHOUSE has showbusiness talent. Who says so? Waring Green Players, an established amateur theatre company which has long proved itself to be bursting with talent.

Now the company is on the look out for more performers. They are giving a chance to anyone who can sing, dance or act to take part in a talent show at the society’s base at Waring Green Community Centre next month.

March 1 is marked off as talent show night and the entertainment will start at 7.30pm.

The Players hope that local acts will take part in a talent show where members of the audience will be able to vote for their favourite act by paying £1. A prize will be awarded to the winning performer.

A member of the Players said: “People enjoy watching variety acts, such as singers and dancers, and we are sure that there is a wealth of talent just sitting on our doorstep.

“This is a real opportunity for people to come along and perform on stage, and for people of all ages to come along and be entertained.”

If you want to step into the spotlight you must be over 16. Phone 01484 718988 for details or email rachelowens.woodhead@hotmail.co.uk

Tickets for the Brighouse Has Talent show are £9 for adults and £7 for children, including a buffet supper. Tickets on 01484 712217.
