Band’s tribute performance

THEY wowed audiences at Marsden Jazz Festival and now you can hear them again.

Yorkshire big band the Anchormen Ensemble play at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield tomorrow in tribute to Maynard Ferguson, the Canadian trumpet player and bandleader who died in the summer of 2006.

Ferguson was a legendary musician and band leader who many felt took trumpet playing to a new level.

Tickets are £10 and the music begins at 8pm.
