Lisa’s concert debut

ORGANIST Lisa Needham makes her debut at the Rex Cinema in Elland on Sunday (2.30pm), the first women recitalist to play there this season.

It may be Lisa’s debut at the Rex, but she has all the musical credentials that you could ask for.

Born in Bolton, she began playing both organ and piano when she was 10.

She is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music and soon after leaving college began a career playing both classical and popular styles of organ music.

Lisa is acknowledged as a versatile musician, equally at home playing electronic and pipe organs. She’s as likely to be found giving recitals in a cathedral as she is at venues such as the Rex.

The £4 admission includes a short film novelty and refreshments.
