Actor takes to stage as comedian

FOR all Torchwood addicts, he was PC Andy Davidson, Gwen’s former partner who was desperate to get in on the action.

To others, he’s the story-telling wit from Channel 5’s edgy comedy sketch show, Swinging.

Judge for yourself which is the real Tom Price, actor or stand-up comedian when he shares the headlining at the Lawrence Batley Theatre’s comedy gig on Thursday June 12.

Tom will be part of an outstanding line-up at the next Comedy Cellar date. Expect calm, confident and an easy-going delivery from a comic whose clean cut and youthful appearance makes him look, as one reviewer put it, “as if he’s straight off Country File.”

Next to step up to the mike is Jim Smallman, said to be a comic firebrand whose style is that of “a laconic, sarcastic gag machine”.

Jim is in demand both for his stand-up and for his effortlessly infectious compering skills. His act concentrates on his truly bizarre you-couldn’t-make-it-up life story, his obsessive thirst for trivia and his downright childish silliness.

Catch him Huddersfield as his one hour solo show, Hello, My Name is Jim and I Have All The Answers will be heading for the Edinburgh Festival in August.

The show will be compered by Anthony J Brown and it all kicks off at 8pm Tickets on 01484 430528.
