IT’S A chance to hear one of the area’s leading bands in competitive mood.

Brighouse and Rastrick Band is holding two open rehearsals at 7.45pm next Wednesday and Thursday ahead of the British Open Championships in Birmingham. You can hear the band in its final preparations at the Central Methodist Church, Brighouse.

The set piece for this year is Rococo Variations, a new commission from popular composer Edward Gregson,
